My name is Sara. I turned 15 this summer, and I live in Efrat, a yishuv in Gush Etzion. Until 2004, I lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Two days before I turned 10, I made aliya with my family to Israel. Before moving, I was really annoyed with my parents for making the decision they did, and for the first year or two it was very hard. Retrospect, I'm very glad I made aliya, and I really love it here. I wouldn’t move back for anything. We moved to Efrat, and have lived there since. I did grades 5-8 at Aseh Chayil, an elementary school in Efrat, before moving to this school for high school. I like to read, and to be with friends. I also like music, particularly older stuff, like the Beatles. My family includes 6 people. There's my dad, who is originally from England, but spent a long time in America. He likes to say he's the only person who went from England to KANSAS to study theater. His work is internet marketing, helping people sell stuff. Then there's my mom, who spent most of her life in Minnesota and Boston before coming here. She works for a radiologist in Efrat. She likes to say that her job saves lives, because radiologists read scans, and stuff from hospitals, which tell people what's wrong with them which indirectly saves lives. I have two brothers. Avi is 16. He's a madrich in Bnei Akiva and likes music, spaghetti and playing bass guitar. Zev is turned 12 last week. He likes computers, Lego, and books. My sister is named Penina. She's 9 and she likes playing outside and being with her friends. We share a room, which is not always such a fun thing…If my stuff isn't scattered all over, hers usually is! My credo…I don't really have one, mostly because I only learned what a credo is today. I believe very strongly in "hakol letova", everything is for the good. Even if something looks really bad, at some point, it will be good somehow. I also believe that it's important to prioritize. Not everything matters, and it's important to focus on what does matter. Life's too short to bother with small stuff As for the future…I'd like to do something I enjoy, because it's stupid to spend your life doing something you hate. Apart from that, I really don't know what my future holds, and I'd rather find out later, than plan it now!
